Councilman ward 5

Meet Caleb Johnson
Purdue Graduate 2000; Valparaiso School of Law Graduate 2002; Father of 5, husband to Leah Johnson, local business owner, active member in the community with the Schererville Lions Club, Schererville Chamber of Commerce, Lake Central Education Foundation, and Schererville Baseball and Soccer for many years as a coach.
Practicing lawyer in Merrillville 2002-2015; Schererville 2015 to current primarily focusing on Personal Injury and Civil Rights litigation defense on behalf of individuals and Lake County.
I ran for Town Council because I have always wanted to do the best for my family, friends, and community. My years on the council have taught me to continue doing what is right without compromising for political gain. I am a staunch conservative, God fearing, America loving individual who believes in your right to individuality and protection from the fear of excessive government intrusion into your day-to-day life. The American dream is real, and you should have the opportunity to succeed in our Town.
I will fight for a regional solution to traffic congestion. Planning for town infrastructure investment before they fail and a controlled and careful downtown revitalization. I will continue to work earnestly for bike path connectivity to subdivisions and neighboring communities and improved park facilities and programs. I have the knowledge, energy, and plan to address each of these and many more items on my agenda as a Town Councilman.
Continued commercial investment in our community is key to continued growth and prosperity. Ensuring proper maintenance and revitalization of existing structures and property are an essential role of town governance.
There is still so much to do, and I am the person who will cause positive change, instead of maintaining the status quo. I will continue to fight for this community.
